B. Characteristics:

C. Main uses:

Glass wool: with a large number of tiny air pores, so that it plays the role of heat insulation, sound absorption and noise reduction and safety protection, is the best material for thermal insulation, sound absorption and noise reduction of steel structure buildings.

Rock wool: can be made according to different uses: felt, strip, tube, granular, plate, etc. can be used in nuclear power plants, power plants, chemical plants, large kiln insulation;

Building external insulation, roof and curtain wall insulation, isolation zone; cabin, ship health unit, crew lounge, power warehouse; vegetables, fruits, flowers factory soilless cultivation.

П. Temperature Differentiation

A. Insulation temperature varies

Glass wool: Glass wool is mostly used for insulation parts below 200℃, mostly for building or low temperature pipe insulation.

 Rock wool: rock wool is mostly used for insulation of 500℃ temperature, and heat preservation of high temperature thermal pipeline or power equipment.

B. Maximum operating temperature varies

Glass wool: the maximum operating temperature of Glass wool is only about 260℃. 2. rock wool:

Rock wool: the maximum operating temperature is about 600℃.

A.Product performance is different:

Glass wool: Glass wool is lower than rock wool, less slag ball content, low thermal conductivity, long service life, fiber toughness.

Rock wool: the highest use temperature of rock wool is about 600 degrees Celsius, Glass wool is only about 260 degrees Celsius.

B.Different uses of products:

Glass wool: Glass wool is generally used for insulation below 200 degrees Celsius, mostly for general buildings or low temperature pipes,

Rock wool: rock wool is generally used in the temperature of 500 degrees Celsius insulation, mostly used in high temperature thermal pipeline or power equipment insulation.

C. Product bulk density is different:

Glass wool: Glass wool bulk density is 10 kg/m3-64kg/m3, rock wool bulk density is 40 kg/m3-200kg/m3, so the mechanical strength of rock wool is greater than Glass wool.

Rock wool: rock wool is the first choice material for heat preservation and fire prevention of modern exterior wall hanging.

d. Glass wool board surface must not be exposed for a long time, in order to prevent Glass wool board from damp, each Glass wool board is packed in small plastic bags, covered with plastic sheeting at the top of the wall.
