Recently, a subway seat heating unit equipped with Monocene fiberglass material developed by Beijing Graphene Institute (BGI) was successfully installed at Beijing CRRC Changke Erqi Track Equipment Co., Ltd. This is not only the first subway in the world to use monene fiberglass material as electric heated seats, but also the first large-scale application of this material in subway seat heating scenarios.

In the cold winter, especially in the northern region, frequent opening and closing of subway doors can easily cause the temperature inside the car to drop rapidly, making it impossible to provide passengers with a comfortable riding experience. Although many subway cars are now equipped with heated seats, the traditional carbon fiber linear heating sheets used for heating are composed of non-woven fabric as the backing material + carbon fiber filament braiding. There are problems such as the internal fiber filaments are easy to break and the temperature is uneven. Disadvantages: heating failure is prone to occur.

Graphene heating film is a flexible film of pure carbon atoms without other substances doped in the heating film. It is a single layer of carbon atoms grown through chemical vapor deposition (CVD method). The graphene material independently developed by BGI uses CVD method to form a graphene continuous film on the surface of traditional materials through high-temperature cracking and growth processes, and uses high-performance graphene "skin" to give traditional materials new functions.
