Alkali-free fiberglass is commonly known as E glass
The R2O content of alkali-free glass fiber is less than 0.8%, which is a kind of aluminoborosilicate composition. Its chemical stability, electrical insulation performance and strength are all very good. It is mainly used as electrical insulation material, reinforcement material of FRP and tire cord. The R2O content of medium-alkali fiberglass is 11.9%-12.4%. It is a sodium calcium silicate component. Because of its high alkali content, it cannot be used as an electrical insulating material, but its chemical stability and strength are still good. It is generally used as latex cloth, grid cloth base material, acid filter cloth, window screen base material, etc. It can also be used as glass fiber reinforced plastic reinforcement material that does not have strict requirements on electrical properties and strength.
High-alkali fiberglass itself has the defects of low strength, poor water resistance and alkali resistance, which cannot be overcome. Using it as an enhanced product will only harm the interests of users in the end.
