Fiber glass continuous winding raw materials:
Reinforcement materials: According to the production requirements of FRP pipes and PVC/FRP composite pipes, the varieties of reinforcement materials include surface felt, chopped glass fiber felt or needle punched composite felt combined with surface felt, no twisted roving.
Resin matrix: The resin used for continuous pipe winding is mainly unsaturated polyester resin. The requirements of the continuous winding process for the resin are: appropriate viscosity, easy to soak through the fiber, long gel time, short curing time, low curing heat release, and small curing shrinkage.
Auxiliary materials: In order to improve the rigidity of the pipe, quartz sand is often added, and the amount of addition can reach 30% (the highest). Mylar film for mold release agent, the film is cut into tape, the width is twice the width of the steel belt, and the wound lap is 1/2.
Compared with fixed-length FRP pipe, the continuous pipe winding process has the following process characteristics:
(1) Continuous production, easy to realize automatic management and rapid curing, high production efficiency;
(2) Less auxiliary equipment is required, especially the amount of mold is small, and the investment in product replacement is small;
(3) The length of the product can be cut arbitrarily, and the use of this length (12m or 15m) can reduce the number of pipe joints and reduce the project cost;
(4) The production process is automated, the process parameters are centrally controlled, and the product quality is easy to guarantee.
Another continuous pipe making process adopts plastic pipe and FRP composite process, that is, EPF method, and the composite pipe produced by this method has better corrosion resistance and impermeability than ordinary FRP pipe.
