How About The Performance Of EFG Rock Asphalt Pavement?

The flow deformation of asphalt pavement is the most common phenomenon of asphalt pavement damage in the world. According to statistics, about 80% of the pavement maintenance are due to the deformation and damage caused by the rutting. It is found through engineering practice that the modified asphalt with Kermansha rock asphalt has a great advantage in the high temperature stability and can solve the high grade asphalt pavement normal problems such as rutting, early disease and other phenomena, which caused as a result of heavy traffic, overweight and overload. Most of the Kermansha rock asphalt have ash content between 5% till 20%, the Asphaltene content is much more than Pudong rock asphalt at the same time the nitrogen content is lower than North American rock asphalt. High asphaltene content assured excellent road performance at the same time the suitable  nitrogen content make it easier for producing, which decreased the producing cost very much.

Technical Data of Kermansha Rock Asphalt

Anti-rutting

Test and road practice show that the Kermansha rock asphalt modifier can effectively improve the rutting resistance of asphalt pavement, delay the occurrence of rutting, reduce the rutting depth and the appearance of fatigue shear cracks.

Anti-peeling

In the Kermahsha Rock Asphalt, nitrogen exists in the form of functional groups, which makes the asphalt have strong wettability and high resistance to free oxidation group, obviously improved the adhesion and peeling resistance to aggregate.

Anti aging and high temperature resistance

The softening point of Kermansha rock asphalt reaches around 225 degrees, and it obviously increased the softening point of of the modified asphalt, which used the Kermansha Rock Asphalt as modifier. This features give the asphalt pavement good resistance to high temperature and anti-aging.

Weathering resistance

Weathering resistance: taking asphalt as an example, it refers to the ability to withstand the combined damage of light, wind and rain, bacteria and so on. Kermansha Rock asphalt has strong resistance to microbial erosion and has the characteristics of forming dense bright protective film on free surface. The addition of rock asphalt can greatly improve the weathering resistance and ultraviolet resistance of common asphalt, improve the durability of asphalt pavement, slow down the aging speed of asphalt, and prolong the service life of road.
